Redknee Inc. and Space Machine Advance the Delivery of Location-Based Corporate Applications
TORONTO, CANADA (August 21, 2001) - Redknee, Inc. (www.redknee.com), supplier of network infrastructure and applications products to advanced wireless telecom operators around the world, today announced their partnership with Space Machine, Inc. (www.spacemachine.net), supplier of the leading software platform and application framework enabling enterprise-class "location-smart" applications that leverage the power of wireless location technologies.
Under terms of the deal, Redknee will provide the location management platform, OASIS™ (Open Applications Services Interface System) and ELS (Enhanced Location Server) technology, to enable Space Machine’s OpenSpace™ software platform to deliver real-time location and navigation services over the wireless Internet. Space Machine will ship the OpenSpace™ software platform bundled with OASIS™ connectors in their 2.0 release. As a result of this partnership, wireless carriers and enterprise customers will be able to deliver location-based services faster and more economically to their business customers.
